Burghley House is just an hour’s drive away. The house and grounds are magnificent and the famous Burghley Horse Trials take place here in September. After a visit here you can then go into the old town of Stamford with its interesting buildings, shops and of course the famous old coaching inn “The George”. No visit to Stamford would be complete without a drink or meal here! There are plenty of other eateries as well.
