Lincoln; whose skyline is dominated by the medieval cathedral and which was used as a location for the filming of “The Da Vinci Code” is a good starting point. The Cathedral is situated in the Bailgate , with Lincoln Castle and many independent shops close by. You will also find The Collection, a museum and art gallery all with free admission.

At the southern end of the town Lincoln Boat Trips offer trips along the river with a stop off at a local riverside pub.

The Lincolnshire Show is held every year in June and is a great day out for all the family.
